6. Nature of contract: Fee-based.
7. Contract description: Through the 'Assistance to the reform of the
technical and vocational education and training system' programme, the EC
provides training, institution and capacity building and policy advice
with a view to supporting the development of human and institutional
capacities for the formulation and implementation of a systemic national
TVET reform policy.
Contract 1 which is concerned with the overall programme management over
the whole 6-year programme duration is undertaken by a consortium led by
the German GTZ and under participation of the French AFPA and the Egyptian
ITC.
Contract 2 concerns the provision of short-term expertise for
institution/capacity building and training activities fostering
establishment of 4 additional enterprise–TVET partnerships (ETPs) in the
following sectors: (1) food processing; (2) engineering; (3) building and
construction materials; and (4) wood and furniture; and is undertaken by a
consortium led by the Italian Eurecna SpA CAN Veneto International
Services with participation of Megacom S.A.E — Egypt, Mid-Yorkshire
Chamber of Commerce — UK, Navigator Consulting Group — Greece.
Contract 3, which is subject of this tender forecast, concerns the
provision of short-term expertise for institution/capacity building and
training activities fostering establishment of 7 additional
enterprise–TVET partnerships in the following sectors:
(1) leather goods and training industries;
(2) chemical industries;
(3) printing and media;
(4) housing and building;
(5) roads, highways, bridges, tunnels, power stations, water and sewage
systems;
(6) hotel, restaurant and cafeterias;
(7) travel agencies companies, tourism and bazaars.
8. Indicative maximum budget: EUR 7 220 000.
9. Intended timing of publication of the procurement notice: 4th quarter
2007.
