SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION

Strips for the determination of Glucose in blood.

Main place of delivery: 1. Meters - Madliena Stores, Malta 2. Strips -
Marsa Stores, Malta.

II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Specifications:
Test strips for the determination of glucose in blood for use on meters of
the non wipe system. Tenderer should indicate his readiness to loan the
department of health a number (approximately 1000) of the appropriate
meters, i.e. suitable for the strips offered). In case meters develop
operational faults, these will have to be repaired by tenderer at no extra
cost, including replacement of batteries. See attached list vide tender
documents re GPS12.057.T07RA.

II.2.1) Total quantity or scope: Estimated total Consumption of strips
for total duration of contract. Approximately 3858000strips and 1000
meters on loan (Based on an annual consumption of 1286000strips).
II.3) DURATION OF THE CONTRACT OR TIME-LIMIT FOR COMPLETION: Duration in
months: 36 (from the award of the contract).
